Bishop, Dorothy G. of Quincy, died July 28, 2012. Beloved sister of Robert W. Bishop of Brockton. Devoted aunt of Melissa Bishop of Quincy and the late Brian W. Bishop. Dorothy was also survived by many cousins.

Dorothy was born in Boston and lived in Dorchester before moving to Quincy. She was a communicant at St. Ann’s Church in Quincy and a member of the Red Hat Society. Dorothy worked as a clerk for the USPS in Boston for many years before retiring. Dorothy enjoyed getting together with her close circle of friends and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.

Purcell, Rita M. of Quincy, passed away July 28, 2012.

Beloved daughter of the late John J. and Catherine T. (McNeil) Purcell.

Sister of the late Helen Carroll, Mary O’Neil, and Andrew, Thomas, and Joseph Purcell.

A Beloved Aunt, Rita is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Rita was born in Somerville, and had lived in Quincy for many years. Until her retirement she worked for years as a Head Clerk for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM

Burial will follow in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Arlington.

Ciani, Annie L. (Mellen) of Quincy, passed away on July 29, 2012, she was 93. The beloved wife of the late Henry Hedvig, the late Ernest Anderson and the late Daniel Ciani. Loving mother of Patricia Anderson of Worcester and Russell Hedvig and his wife Jean of Squantum and the late Dorothy Adams, Thomas, William & Dennis Hedvig. Sister of the late Mabel Commesso. Annie is also survived by 9 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A longtime Quincy resident, Annie grew up in Braintree. She worked at the Long Island Hospital for several years before she retired. Annie loved to dance and cook, she enjoyed being around people. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor. Annie will be dearly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday morning at 10am in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock ST. QUINCY followed by a Funeral Service on Wednesday at 11am.

Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

Biasetti, Geraldine E. (Hanson) of Quincy, died August 1, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Gino Biasetti and Walter F. Jones. Loving mother of Nancy M. Jones of Holbrook and the late Richard and Phillip Jones. Sister of the late Charles, Joseph, Donald Jones and Gloria DeForge. Aunt of Heather Hanson of Abington and Janet Trayers Wellesley Hills.

Geralidine was born in South Boston and was a graduate of Girls High School in Boston. She worked as a secretary for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston for 8 years before retiring in 1973. Geraldine enjoyed traveling, getting together with family especially for Christmas and was an avid Red Sox fan. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

McKeogh, Winifred “Claire” (Sacco) of Williamsburg, VA, formerly of Squantum, passed away August 1, 2012 ; she was 87. The beloved wife of the late Robert P. McKeogh, MD. Cherished mother of Deborah McKeogh of Willamsburg,VA, Linda Busshaus and her husband Frank of Palm Bay, FL, Patricia McKeogh Bandon and her husband William of Katonah, NY and Jenifer Vespoli and her husband James of Wexford, PA. Devoted grandmother of Emily Owens & Adam Busshaus of FL, Lauren & Julia Vespoli of PA and John & Isabel Bandon of NY. Great grandmother of Isaac Owens of FL. Loving sister of Audrey Moody of Norwood and the late Diane Stempleski and Frederick Sacco. Sister in law of Michael Stempleski of Hanover and Joan Sacco of Attleboro and the late Joseph Moody. Dear cousin of Priscilla Kelly and John Zona of Clearwater, FL. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Claire was born and raised in Boston. She worked as a medical lab technician at Boston City Hospital before her marriage. Former President and longtime member of the Seaside Gardeners of Squantum, Claire volunteered for many years at Squantum Elementary School’s reading program and library. She was as an avid gardener with a green thumb, but she also enjoyed traveling world wide – both lifelong passions she shared with her family and friends. A skilled cook, Claire will be remembered particularly for her outstanding blueberry pie and amazing New England clam chowder. She enjoyed good mystery novels, British comedies, classical music and could play the piano by ear beautifully. Claire will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.

Marie Sonia Cherduville (nee Jean-Jacques), age 91, a wife, mother, grandmother, and
great-grandmother, died on Monday, July 30, 2012 in Randolph, MA. She was born
November 24, 1920 in Marmelade, Haiti, to Mercedes “Des” Valcourt and Lys “Juge”
Jean-Jacques. She lived in Haiti most of her life and married Villemain Cherduville at 18 years old. She lived in many places including Canada, then came to Massachusetts later in her life, where she spent the remainder of her years. She was the mother to Gerald Cherduville, Rose Laure Cherduville, Jacques Renan Cherduville, Francois Rene Cherduville (wife Roseline Merone Cherduville), and Marie-Flore Cherduville Bar (husband Pierre-Jean Bar). She was the stepmother to Rose-Claire Cherduville, Jacques Alix Cherduville, Pierre Antoine Desir, Jacques Antoine Cherduville and a plethora of grand and great grand-children. She was the grandmother to Rose Carla Aubourg-Pamphile (husband Raoul Pamphile), Stephan Cherduville (wife Sabrina Dessources Cherduville), Paul Junior Fleurival, Anthony Fleurival, Stacey Cherduville, Jean-David Bar, Elodie Bar, Corrine Cherduville, Kristy Cherduville, Daryl Cherduville, Samuel Bar, Rose-Renee Cherduville, and Olivier Cherduville. The great-grandmother to Sastea Cherduville, Justice Fleurival, and Ella-Rose Sonia Pamphile.

Sonia, as she liked to be called enjoyed being around her family, attending church
functions, and singing hymns. She was a woman of strength, a woman of God, and always
had the courage to face whatever came her way even in her very last days on this earth. She was a courageous woman who cared for her children and sacrificed herself to provide them with a good and solid education. Sonia will be remembered for her quick wit, love for her children, and bold personality.

In addition to being survived by her children, grand- children and great grand- children, she is also survived by her step-mother Jeanne Myrtil Jean-Jacques, her sisters Anne-Marie Francois Preval, Claire-Marie Jean-Jaques, Therese Jean-Jacques Eugene, Romaine Jean-Jacques Moise, Maria Jean-Jacques Barberousse, Julie Jean-Jacques Simon, Liane Jean-Jacques Duval, Mona Jean-Jacques, Brunette Jean-Jacques, Erneste Jean-Jacques, her brothers Pierre “Ti Valcourt, Volny Jean-Jacques, Anthony Jean-Jacques, Francois Job Jean-Jacques, Laud Jean-Jacques, & Septimus Jean-Jacques. Also, a plethora of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grand nephews and cousins which include the families of Edward, Preval, Marcellus, Raphael, Sylvain, Valcourt, and many, many more.

Viewing will be held Friday August 10, 2012 at the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814
American Legion Highway, Roslindale, MA 02131 from 7-9pm. Funeral Services will
proceed Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Saint Angela’s Church, 1548 Blue Hill Avenue,
Mattapan, MA 02126 at 10am. Her final resting place will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Roslindale, MA.

Beloved wife of Donald McGilvray.

Loving mother of Neil McGilvray of Columbia, MD, Elise Collagan of Marblehead, Bryan McGilvray and his wife, Jean, of Plymouth, and Christine McGilvray of Marblehead. Also survived by 14 grandchildren.

Born in Boston, she was a lifelong resident of Quincy. In her spare time, she enjoyed music, sailing, being near the water, and always enjoyed watching her Boston sports teams especially the Patriots. She loved her family and grandchildren and will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
